This knife is made from AEB-L Stainless Steel so you don’t have to worry about it rusting like normal carbon steel knives. It has a beautiful Thuya Burl wood handle and copper pins.
AEB-L stainless steel was originally developed for making razors and combines hardness with sharp edge retention and excellent wear resistance. It is a stainless steel that is similar to low alloy steels like 52100 and O1, which have very good toughness and average wear resistance. AEB-L is a good knife steel because it offers high hardness, exceptional toughness, moderate edge retention, and good corrosion resistance. It is also inexpensive, available in a variety of sizes, and easy to grind after heat treating.
